OS EFEITOS DA ACUPUNTURA NO TRATAMENTO DA LOMBALGIA

A dor lombar atinge até 65% das pessoas e 84% das pessoas em alguma ocasião da vida, mostrando uma prevalência de 11,9% da população mundial, o que surge grande fluxos nos serviços de saúde. A técnica de acupuntura foi fundamentada na China em torno de cinco mil anos, com o objetivo de equilibrar energias circulantes do organismo e assim proporcionar o tratamento de doenças. Objetivou-se com este estudo analisar os efeitos da acupuntura na dor e tensão muscular no tratamento da lombalgia, compreendendo a etiopatogenia da lombalgia com intuito de avaliar o efeito da acupuntura sobre a dor em pacientes com lombalgia e a tensão muscular em pacientes com lombalgia. Trata-se de revisão integrativa de literatura, para a realização da pesquisa foi consultada as bases de dados eletrônicas Literatura Latino-Americana em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), por meio do portal da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). O levantamento dos dados foi realizado com por meio dos descritores: Dor, dor lombar, acupuntura, fisioterapia, ambos associados por meio do operador booleano “AND”. Foram encontrados 172 artigos a partir dos descritores. Foram incluídos no estudo artigos completos, publicados português e entre os anos de 2012 a 2019. Foram excluídos todos os artigos incompletos, trabalhos não disponíveis em português e inglês e que não abordassem a temática trabalhada. Por fim, relacionou-se 23 artigos para construção dos resultados. Após a leitura minuciosa dos resultados e discussões dos artigos analisados na pesquisa, estes foram classificados por similaridade semântica em 2 categorias temáticas: “Acupuntura no manejo da dor” e “Os efeitos da acupuntura no tratamento da lombalgia”. Na primeira categoria, de acordo com as publicações analisadas, observou-se que os autores abordam assuntos que tratam da definição e o mecanismo de ação da acupuntura mostrando que há a diminuição da dor e melhora das funções orgânicas. Já na segunda categoria, as publicações analisadas abordam assuntos que tratam a acupuntura como abordagem terapêutica na diminuição da lombalgia. Os autores ainda destacaram que muitas das técnicas utilizadas no tratamento da dor visam sua redução e restaurar a funcionalidade, nesse caso, algumas pesquisas determinam a acupuntura como tratamento eficiente para a dor lombar. Constatou-se por meio da pesquisa que a abordagem da temática acerca da acupuntura mostra-se muito eficaz no tratamento da lombalgia com exercícios de alongamento dos membros inferiores e tronco, fortalecimento e condicionamento muscular do tronco e dos músculos abdominais, obtendo uma redução da incapacidade e da dor para a reabilitação do paciente. Espera-se que esse estudo possa levar aos profissionais da área da saúde um maior conhecimento dos benefícios da acupuntura aos pacientes portadores de dores, principalmente àqueles que apresentam dores lombares.

Low back pain affects up to 65% of people and 84% of people at some point in their lives, showing a prevalence of 11.9% of the world population, which arises large flows in health services. The acupuncture technique was founded in China around 5,000 years, with the aim of balancing circulating energies of the body and thus providing the treatment of diseases. The objective of this study was to analyze the effects of acupuncture on pain and muscle tension in the treatment of low back pain, comprising the etiopathogenesis of low back pain in order to evaluate the effect of acupuncture on pain in patients with low back pain and muscle tension in patients with low back pain. This is an integrative literature review, for the research, the electronic databases Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), through the Virtual Health Library (VHL) portal. Data were collected using the descriptors: Pain, low back pain, acupuncture, physiotherapy, both associated using the boolean operator "AND". A total of 172 articles were found from the descriptors. Full articles published In the study were included in the study and between 2012 and 2019. All incomplete articles, works not available in Portuguese and English and that did not address the theme worked were excluded. Finally, 23 articles were related to build the results. After thorough reading of the results and discussions of the articles analyzed in the research, these were classified by semantic similarity into 2 thematic categories: "Acupuncture on pain management" and "The effects of acupuncture on the treatment of low back pain". In the first category, according to the publications analyzed, it was observed that the authors address issues that deal with the definition and mechanism of action of acupuncture showing that there is a decrease in pain and improvement of organic functions. In the second category, the analyzed publications address issues that treat acupuncture as a therapeutic approach in reducing low back pain. The authors also highlighted that many of the techniques used in the treatment of pain aim to reduce and restore functionality, in this case, some studies determine acupuncture as an efficient treatment for low back pain. It was found through the research that the thematic approach about acupuncture is very effective in the treatment of low back pain with stretching exercises of the lower limbs and trunk, strengthening and muscle conditioning of the trunk and muscles obtaining a reduction in disability and pain for the rehabilitation of the patient. It is hoped that this study can bring health professionals greater knowledge of the benefits of acupuncture to patients with pain, especially those with low back pain.
