Abstract: The work intends to reflect on the performance of permanent and temporary teachers from the municipal teaching network of Petrópolis/RJ regarding the use of digital tools during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, we will research, through the digital form, the digital challenges faced by teachers, understanding the most used instruments to provide an effective distance education to the public of Early Childhood Education, Elementary School I and II and High School. The answers were evaluated according to the method of interpretation and content analysis according to the author Laurence Bardin, who found negligence and disregard for education and, concomitantly, for technological resources. It is noted that the full implementation of technology in an educational environment is still a challenge for the municipality of Petrópolis/RJ due to the lack and lack of necessary support for school spheres.
