Abstract: Youth and Adult Education Integrated with Professional and Technological Education (YAE-PTE), combined with the offerings of Initial and Continuous Education Courses (ICEC), have strengthened the professional growth of this group. Sadly, school dropouts reflect a failure of both the student and the educational system. The aim of this study was to report on the job opportunities for Agricultural Machinery Operator Course students and to estimate the dropout rates for Computer Operator, Agricultural Machinery Operator, and Healthcare Hygienist courses within ICEC of YAE-PTE. The Agricultural Machinery Operator Courses (200 hours, classes 2023.2 and 2024.1), the Computer Operator Course (200 hours, class 2023.2), and the Healthcare Hygienist Course (240 hours, class 2024.1) were all offered by the Technical School of Bom Jesus of the Federal University of Piauí, located at 09°04'28" S, 44°21'31" W. These courses were offered concurrent with elementary education. In this study, we report on job opportunities for graduates of the Agricultural Machinery Operator courses (classes 2023.2 and 2024.1) and estimated the school dropout rates for all courses offered in the aforementioned municipality. Immediately after completing the modules, 35% of the Agricultural Machinery Operator class was summoned for job interviews. Among the young people interviewed, 56% were immediately employed. When it comes to school dropout, 70.23% of students were completers. Student dropout rates by specific course are as follows: 9.09% for the Computer Operator course; 21.05% for the 2023.2 class and 42.10% for the 2024.1 class of the Agricultural Machinery Operator course; and 45.83% for the Healthcare Hygienist course. Young agricultural machinery operators are getting job opportunities from companies in the sector. Meanwhile, the school dropout rate for students across different initial and continuing education courses is 29.77%, which is considered low for this type of program.
