Ontem e hoje: uma análise conceitual do designer industrial
Em relação ao desenho industrial, vários problemas surgiram ao longo do tempo. No entanto, um dos mais prementes é aquele relacionado ao seu ator principal… o designer industrial. Já que o referido ator foi identificado como aquele personagem que só faz desenhos, se encarrega dos planos ou se confunde com o fato de seu trabalho se dedicar ao artesanato, pior ainda, como um simples auxiliar na área de engenharia, expressões que para muitos parece não ter relevância, mas isso, para o sindicato, acaba sendo surpreendente e até ofensivo, principalmente se levarmos em conta que estamos falando de uma disciplina com 103 anos de existência. Assim, através deste trabalho e através da pesquisa documental, procuramos rever a vida e obra de várias personalidades que tiveram um papel importante na história do design industrial, bem como a definição que tem prevalecido globalmente pela atual Organização Mundial do Design. (antigo ICSID) de 1959 até hoje, buscando identificar semelhanças e discrepâncias, aspectos que permitirão finalmente estabelecer um conceito em torno do responsável pelo trabalho de desenho industrial hoje.

Abstract:
In relation to industrial design, various problems have arisen over time. However, one of the most pressing is that related to its main actor… the industrial designer. Since said actor has been identified as that character who only makes drawings, is in charge of the plans or is confused with the fact that his work is devoted to crafts, worse still, as a simple assistant in the engineering area, expressions that for many seems to have no relevance, but that, for the union, turns out to be surprising and even offensive, especially if one takes into account that we are talking about a discipline with 103 years of existence. Therefore, through this work and through documentary research, we seek to review the life and work of various personalities who have been an important part in the history of industrial design, as well as the definition that has prevailed globally by today's World Organization. of Design (formerly ICSID) from 1959 to date, seeking to identify similarities and discrepancies, aspects that will finally allow establishing a concept around the person responsible for the work of industrial design today.
