O TRABALHO DO AGENTE COMUNITÁRIO DE SAÚDE: ENTRE O PRESCRITO E O REAL
Objetivo: compreender a percepção do agente comunitário de saúde sobre seu trabalho. Materiais e métodos: Pesquisa qualitativa cujos participantes foram 14 agentes comunitários de saúde de um município do interior de Minas Gerais. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevista orientada por roteiro semiestruturado e a análise dos dados realizada por meio da Análise de Conteúdo. Os aspectos éticos de pesquisas com seres humanos foram respeitados. Resultados e Discussão: Os dados revelam que os agentes comunitários compreendem as atribuições que lhe são previstas pela política de saúde. Entretanto, não conseguem traduzir as atribuições preconizadas no seu cotidiano de trabalho devido a constrangimentos organizacionais. Além disso, a construção simbólica ainda presente na sociedade de que as práticas técnicas possuem maior valor delineiam uma demanda por procedimentos como forma de cuidado. Esta realidade faz com que os agentes de saúde anseiem por ampliar o escopo de sua ação incorporando técnicas em seu fazer. Conclusão: Os ACS’s deste estudo compreendem as atribuições que lhes são previstas pela política de saúde, mas não encontram condições para efetivá-las no cotidiano dos serviços. As fragilidades estruturais do sistema de saúde acabam por provocar desvios no trabalho do ACS, fragilizando a consolidação da saúde da família no município.

Abstract:
Objective: to understand the perception of the community health agent about their work. Materials and methods: Qualitative research whose participants were 14 community health agents from a municipality in the interior of Minas Gerais. The data collection was carried out through an interview guided by a semi-structured script and the analysis of the data carried out through Content Analysis. The ethical aspects of research with human beings were respected. Results and Discussion: The data reveal that the community agents understand the attributions that are foreseen by the health policy. However, they are unable to translate the attributions recommended in their daily work due to organizational constraints. In addition, the symbolic construction still present in society that technical practices have greater value outlines a demand for procedures as a form of care. This reality makes health agents yearn to expand the scope of their action by incorporating techniques in their practice. Conclusion: The CHA's in this study understand the attributions provided for in the health policy, but they cannot find the conditions to carry them out in the daily life of the services. The structural weaknesses of the health system end up causing deviations in the work of the CHA, weakening the consolidation of family health in the municipality.
