Abstract: This research aims to analyze the figure of the hypersufficient worker in the context of contemporary labor relations, faced with the dilemma of the legal protection afforded to them. A hypersufficient worker is one who, due to his qualifications, experience or position, has knowledge and skills that make him superior in relation to other employees. However, this hypersufficiency can lead to a false sense of legal security, resulting in a lack of protection due to the expectation that these workers do not need the same guarantees offered to others. Based on this, and to achieve the proposed objectives, the methodology used was bibliographic and jurisprudential research. Through a theoretical basis, we analyze how Brazilian jurisprudence has dealt with this duality, taking into account aspects such as the flexibility of labor standards, contractual autonomy and the implications of the position of the hypersufficient in labor negotiations. Finally, the analysis reflects on the need for a new legal perspective that considers both the autonomy of the hypersufficient and their intrinsic vulnerabilities
