O RISCO DA RADIAÇÃO ULTRAVIOLETA NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DO MELANOMA CUTÂNEO
A radiação ultravioleta (UVR) apresenta efeitos benéficos para saúde humana como: estimulação de produção da vitamina D3 e metabolismo ósseo. No entanto, a superexposição pode levar a queimaduras, produção de espécies reativas de oxigênio (ROS) e alterações mutagênicas, as quais têm sido associadas ao desenvolvimento de melanoma cutâneo. O presente estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma revisão bibliográfica da literatura sobre a exposição da radiação ultravioleta como fator no desenvolvimento do melanoma cutâneo. A busca pelos artigos utilizados ocorreu por meio de pesquisas nas bases de dados da Biblioteca virtual em Saúde e National Libary of Medicine. Os critérios de inclusão foram: artigos na língua inglesa e portuguesa; publicados entre 2012 e 2017, que abordassem a associação da radiação ultravioleta ao melanoma cutâneo. Foram obtidos 272 artigos, 87 (PubMed) e 185 (BVS), sendo identificados 44 artigos duplicados e foram excluídos 222 artigos por não estarem dentro dos critérios de inclusão. O desenvolvimento do melanoma cutâneo está associado à exposição em excesso da UVR, a mesma é responsável pela formação de ROS e mutação no gene BRAF. Além de outros fatores, como geográficos e climatológicos, influenciam na quantidade de UVR irradiada em determinados locais, expõem a população ao maior risco no desenvovimento do melanoma cutâneo.

Abstract:
Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) has beneficial effects on human health such as: stimulating the production of vitamin D3 and bone metabolism. However, overexposure may lead to burns, production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and mutagenic changes, that have been associated with the development of cutaneous melanoma. The present study aims to create a bibliographical review of the literature on the exposure of ultraviolet radiation as a factor in the development of cutaneous melanoma.The research for the articles occurred through searches in the databases of the Biblioteca virtual em Saúde and National Libary of Medicine. The criterias for inclusion were: articles in english and portuguese; published between 2012 and 2017, addressing the association of ultraviolet radiation with cutaneous melanoma. There were 272 articles, 87 (PubMed) and 185 (BVS), being identified 44 duplicate articles and 222 articles were excluded because they did not match with the predetermined criteria. The development of cutaneous melanoma is associated with a excessive UVR exposure, which is responsible for the formation of ROS and mutation in the BRAF gene. In addition to other factors, such as geographical and climatological, the influence that a certain amount of UVR irradiated in certain places, exposes the population to greater risk in the development of cutaneous melanoma.
