O PROTAGONISMO DA ENFERMAGEM NO INCENTIVO AO ALEITAMENTO MATERNO NO CICLO GRAVÍDICO-PUERPERAL
Objetivo: Discorrer acerca do protagonismo da enfermagem no incentivo ao aleitamento materno no ciclo gravídico-puerperal. Metodologia: Trata-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados eletrônicas: National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO) e Banco de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF). Para a definição dos critérios de inclusão foram selecionados artigos originais completos, disponíveis online gratuitamente nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol e publicados nos últimos 10 anos. Quanto aos critérios de exclusão definiu-se: estudos duplicados, artigos de revisão, monografias, teses, editoriais e aqueles que não respondam à questão norteadora do estudo. Dessa forma, o estudo obteve uma amostra total de 09 artigos. Resultados: O estudo discorreu sobre o protagonismo da enfermagem no incentivo ao aleitamento materno em todo o ciclo gravídico-puerperal da mulher, o que evidenciou a relevância do papel desses profissionais no contexto da saúde pública, uma vez que a literatura já tem demonstrado que o aleitamento materno é um ato de múltiplos benefícios para o binômio mãe/bebê. Conclusão: A enfermagem desempenha papel primordial no processo da amamentação, necessitando portanto, ser valorizada. Assim acredita-se que há necessidade de investimento na promoção de capacitação desses profissionais, visando melhor qualidade da assistência às mulheres no contexto do aleitamento materno.

Abstract:
Objective: To discuss the role of nursing in encouraging breastfeeding in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review carried out in the following electronic databases: National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Database Nursing Data (BDENF). To define the inclusion criteria, complete original articles were selected, freely available online in Portuguese, English and Spanish and published in the last 10 years. As for the exclusion criteria, we defined: duplicate studies, review articles, monographs, theses, editorials and those that do not answer the guiding question of the study. Thus, the study obtained a total sample of 09 articles. Results: The study discussed the role of nursing in encouraging breastfeeding throughout the woman's pregnancy-puerperal cycle, which highlighted the relevance of the role of these professionals in the context of public health, since the literature has already shown that the Breastfeeding is an act of multiple benefits for the mother/baby binomial. Conclusion: Nursing plays a key role in the breastfeeding process, and therefore needs to be valued. Thus, it is believed that there is a need to invest in promoting the training of these professionals, aiming at better quality of care for women in the context of breastfeeding.
