O PROCESSO DE IMPLANTAÇÃO DOS INDICADORES DA QUALIDADE NOS CENTROS MUNICIPAIS DE EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL DE SALVADOR: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA DE GESTÃO DEMOCRÁTICA
Este artigo é fruto da dissertação
de mestrado, de mesmo título, realizada no
Programa de Mestrado Profissional Gestão e
Tecnologias Aplicadas à Educação (GESTEC)
da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (UNEB).
Seu problema de pesquisa parte da discussão
acerca da implantação da autoavaliação
institucional na primeira etapa da educação
básica através do uso dos Indicadores da
Qualidade na Educação Infantil (Indique). Seu
objetivo foi verificar se a prática da autoavaliação
institucional ocorrida com a aplicação do Indique
nos Centros Municipais de Educação Infantil
de Salvador (CMEIs) se caracterizou numa
experiência eficaz de gestão democrática. A
pesquisa foi realizada em dez instituições e
teve como sujeito seus gestores. A metodologia
adotada pautou-se na abordagem qualitativa
que teve a pesquisa bibliográfica como alicerce
e utilizou-se a entrevista semiestruturada e o
questionário. Os resultados obtidos revelaram a
importância e a eficácia dessa ação democrática
no âmbito das instituições de educação infantil,
apesar dos equívocos e incoerências ocorridas
no processo.

Abstract:
This article is the result of a
master’s degree dissertation, held in the
Master’s Program in Management and Applied
Technologies for Education (GESTEC) of
the State University of Bahia (UNEB). His
research problem starts with the discussion
about the implementation of institutional selfassessment in the first stage of basic education
through the use of Quality Indicators in Child
Education (Indicate). Its objective was to
verify if the practice of the institutional selfevaluation occurred with the application of
the Indicate in the Municipal Centers of Early
Childhood Education of Salvador (CMEIs) was
characterized in an effective experience of
democratic management. The research was
carried out in ten institutions and had as subject
its managers. The adopted methodology was
based on the qualitative approach that had the
bibliographical research as a foundation and
was used the semi-structured interview and the
questionnaire. The results obtained revealed the importance and the effectiveness of
this democratic action in the scope of the institutions of early childhood education,
despite the mistakes and inconsistencies that occurred in the process.
