O PRINCÍPIO DA DIGNIDADE DA PESSOA HUMANA COMO LIMITE À APLICAÇÃO DAS MEDIDAS DE SEGURANÇA
O presente artigo discute as formas de aplicação das medidas de segurança no Direito brasileiro tendo em vista a falta de limitação temporal desse instituto. O texto sugere uma análise sob a ótica da dignidade humana e, visto que o Brasil é signatário da Convenção sobre os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência, enfatiza a situação das pessoas com doença ou desenvolvimento mental incompleto, a fim de verificar se a aplicação das medidas de segurança tem respeitado os seus direitos fundamentais.

Abstract:
This article discusses the forms of application of the security measures in the Brazilian Law considering the lack of temporal limitation of this institute. The text suggests an analysis from the point of view of human dignity and, since Brazil is a signatory to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, emphasizes the situation of persons with illness or incomplete mental development, in order to verify if the application of the security measures have respected their fundamental rights.
