O PIONEIRISMO BAHIANO NA CRIAÇÃO DE FUNDAÇÃO DE AMPARO À PESQUISA
O texto faz uma incursão na história do apoio institucional recebido pela ciência, tecnologia e inovação, CT&I, pelos entes federativos do Brasil e constata que diferentemente do que se supunha não é o estado de São Paulo o pioneiro na criação de uma fundação de amparo à pesquisa, a sua Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), mas sim o estado da Bahia que há cerda de 70 anos atrás criou uma fundação com este mesmo propósito, na época denominada Fundação para o Desenvolvimento da Ciência (FDC). Os autores atribuem o fato ao papel que Anísio Teixeira desempenhou tanto ao nível nacional, como internacional na concepção e execução de organizações de apoio à pesquisa científico-tecnológica.

Abstract:
The text makes an incursion into the history of the institutional support received by science, technology and innovation, CT&I, by the federative entities of Brazil and notes that, contrary to what was supposed, the state of São Paulo is not the pioneer in the creation of a foundation to support the research, its Research Support Foundation of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP), but rather the state of Bahia that some 70 years ago created a foundation with this same purpose, at the time called Foundation for the Development of Science (FDC ). The authors attribute the fact to the role that Anísio Teixeira played both nationally and internationally in the design and execution of organizations to support scientific and technological research
