• Abstract: The Surgical Unit is one of the areas that requires a lot of attention from the audiences, as it is responsible for an important financial impact within the institutions. Nurses are responsible for carrying out nursing audits in the CC. The objective of the study was to identify the role of the auditor nurse in the Surgical Center unit. This is a literature review through the search for articles in academic Google and in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database and other electronic publications of relevance in the national territory, carried out between August and September 2023. 6 articles. The results were that the audits of the operating room's accounts are intended to verify the procedures performed, materials used and medications administered in relation to the clinical picture presented by the client and transmit it to the paying health operator. for the continuing education of its professional teams on the requirements for complying with the medical records, within the scope of ethical and legal principles. It is concluded that the role of the auditor nurse in the surgical center is of paramount importance, as it is up to him to guide all those interested in the process of how the method of charging the anesthetic and surgical procedure is so that everyone can collaborate with the good result. institution, avoiding glosses and dissatisfactions on the part of the management.
