O PAPEL DAS UNIVERSIDADES NO PROCESSO DE EDUCAÇÃO PERMANENTE NA ÁREA DA SAÚDE
Desde a década de 70, a saúde tem sido englobada nas estratégias neoliberais econômicas. Assim, a fim de aumentar a produtividade no ambiente de trabalho - sob a justificativa de capacitar o profissional para benefício dele próprio - foi inculcada nas redes de saúde a extrema importância da educação contínua do trabalhador, por meio de cursos, seminários, dentre outros, constituindo a chamada educação continuada. Contudo, calcada nos preceitos da nossa Constituição Federal de 1988, a educação do profissional de saúde, desde sua graduação, deve ter como finalidade a transformação social. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo informar meios para fortalecer a relação entre a rede de saúde e as universidades, de modo particular os cursos de medicina, com o fito de promover essa mudança social.

Abstract:
Since the 1970s, health has been encompassed in neoliberal economic strategies. Therefore, in order to increase productivity in the workplace - under the justification of empowering the professional for his own benefit – has been inculcated in the health networks the extreme importance of continuous education of the worker, through courses, seminars, among others, constituting the so-called continuing education. However, based on the precepts of our Federal Constitution of 1988, the education of the health professional, since its graduation, should have as its purpose the social transformation. The present work aims to inform means to strengthen the relationship between the health network and the universities, in particular medical courses, in order to promote this social change.
