Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of pedagogical mediation in distance education (EAD), as a fundamental element for human formation. To this end,the offer of EAD undergraduate courses at the State University of Goiás (UEG) was examined. The reflection went through explaining and understanding the role of mediators not only of theachers, but also of management, in the theaching and learning process, which has the student as the formative protagonista. The experience report emerged as a valuable methodology for examining specific scenarios,in order to allow na immersion in the events experienced.Thus,this investigation, by identifying the challenges encountered in establishing pedagogical mediation, intends to contribute to improving the delivery of distance education ( EAD), in order to assist in the promotion of public higher education.
