• Abstract: The role of nursing in the quality control of processing in the material and sterilization center aims to highlight the importance of the participation of the nursing team with regard to the processing of medical and hospital materials Objective: The objective of this study is to identify and synthesize information in the literature about the role of the nursing team in relation to quality control in the processing of health products. Method: this is an integrative literature review on the role of the nursing team within the Material and Sterilization Center in processing quality control. Research was carried out in the following databases: Virtual Health Library (VHL), Google Scholar , Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), data collection of results and discussion, the following DeCS descriptors (Health Sciences Descriptors) were used: "nursing ", "material and sterilization center", "processing", selected articles, texts and available data that covered these descriptors and had a minimum period of 10 years, the search was carried out in Portuguese. Results: through the study it was found that the Nursing Team at the Material and Sterilization Center (CME) is extremely important to conduct the processing steps and guarantee intact material for use in health care. Conclusion: Concludes through the evidence that the nursing team is the main instrument for the quality of services provided within the material and sterilization center.
