Abstract: This article aims to develop the strategic planning of a microenterprise in the food sector, located in the northern region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which has been operating in the market for seven years, through the application of the Business Model Canvas. Despite the experience accumulated over time, the company faces recurring management-related challenges that are common among small businesses. In this context, the use of managerial tools such as the Canvas proves to be relevant, as it enables a structured and systemic view of the organization. This research is characterized as qualitative, conducted through a case study methodology. The findings demonstrate that the Business Model Canvas was effective and appropriate in addressing the managerial demands of the microenterprise, providing greater clarity regarding its operations and the definition of strategic actions. It is concluded that the Canvas, as a visual tool to support strategic planning, can contribute to building a more consistent strategic direction for microenterprises, fostering their sustainability, growth, and long-term market competitiveness.
