O LIVRE EXERCÍCIO DA ATIVIDADE ECONÔMICA NO CONTEXTO DE RESPEITO AO DESENVOLVIMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL
Livre iniciativa expressa a ideia de liberdade, de forma que as pessoas devem ser livres para escolher como pretendem empreender ou investir seu tempo e recursos financeiros. A Livre Iniciativa é um dos fundamentos da Ordem Econômica, conforme art. 170, caput, da Constituição, mas é também um fundamento da República, nos termos do art. 1º, IV do texto constitucional, o que denota a importância estabelecida pelo constituinte ao tema. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é estabelecer uma relação entre a livre iniciativa e o meio ambiente no modelo econômico atualmente existente no Estado brasileiro, de forma a fomentar uma discussão sobre a participação da atividade empresária no desenvolvimento sustentável. Através do método dedutivo, pesquisa descritiva e bibliográfica, foi constatado que, considerando o alto custo da degradação ambiental, é dever do empreendedor exercer sua atividade de forma harmonizada com a proteção ao meio ambiente, não comprometendo o futuro das próximas gerações.

Abstract:
The free enterprise expresses the idea of freedom, so that people should be free to choose how they intend to undertake or invest their time and financial resources. The Free Initiative is one of the foundations of the Economic Order, according the Constitution, but it is also a foundation of the Republic, under the terms of art. 1, IV of the constitutional text, which denotes the importance established by the constituent to the theme. The general objective of this work is to establish a relationship between free enterprise and the environment in the economic model currently existing in the Brazil, in order to foster a discussion on the participation of entrepreneurial activity in sustainable development. Through the deductive method, descriptive and bibliographic research, it was found that, it is the entrepreneur's duty to exercise his activity in harmony with the protection of the environment, without compromising the future of the next generations.
