O IMPACTO DAS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS NO CONTROLE DA EVASÃO: reflexões a partir da experiência no Instituto Federal de São Paulo
O presente trabalho procurou ilustrar a importância das políticas públicas
no controle da evasão escolar. Neste sentido, mediante um estudo de caso, chamou
para uma reflexão sobre questões inerentes a assistência estudantil implementada
no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo – Câmpus
Votuporanga. E, também, sobre a necessidade de políticas imanentes a transporte,
a habitação, a ações afirmativas e a educação inclusiva. Inspirado na literatura
especializada e na legislação vigente pretendeu-se refletir sobre políticas públicas
que ultrapasse a simples oferta de vagas, visto que não é suficiente para assegurar
a formação da população demandante de serviços educacionais - especialmente
segmentos mais vulneráveis da população brasileira.

Abstract:
The present work sought to illustrate the importance of public policies in
the control of school dropout. In this sense, through a case study, called for a
reflection on issues inherent to student assistance implemented at the Federal
Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo - Câmpus Votuporanga.
And also on the need for immanent policies on transportation, housing, affirmative
action and inclusive education. Inspired by the specialized literature and current
legislation, it was intended to reflect on public policies that exceed the simple offer
of vacancies, since it is not enough to ensure the education of the demanding
population of educational services - especially the most vulnerable segments of the
Brazilian population.
