O IMPACTO DA PANDEMIA DA COVID-19 EM ESTUDANTES DE FONOAUDIOLOGIA DE UMA UNIVERSIDADE PÚBLICA FEDERAL
Em 17 de março de 2020, a Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo suspendeu as aulas presenciais, aderindo ao distanciamento social indicado pelo governo do estado. Conhecer o impacto da pandemia nos discentes permitirá o planejamento e elaboração de ações de ensino, pesquisa e extensão a partir dessa nova realidade. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar dados de estudantes de Fonoaudiologia que participaram da pesquisa “Análise das Concepções, Vivências e Práticas dos Estudantes da Saúde do CCS/UFES Durante a Pandemia da COVID-19.”. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, transversal. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de questionário online e para análise foram utilizados os programas Microsoft Excel, Epi Info™ 7.2.4.0 e biblioteca WordCloud e spaCy, em Python. O curso de Fonoaudiologia da UFES possui 213 estudantes matriculados, destes, 90 (42,2%) responderam ao questionário. A amostra estudada foi representativa do primeiro ao nono período, demonstrou ser um grupo predominantemente feminino 90,0% (n=81) e jovem (média de 22,08 anos). A maioria possui renda familiar abaixo de 3 salários mínimos (72,2%, n=65) e metade recebe algum auxílio da universidade (50%, n=45). Até a data da pesquisa, 20% (n=18) acharam que se infectaram com o vírus Sars-Cov-2. Além disso, 56,6%(n=51) dos estudantes informaram ter algum familiar ou pessoa próxima infectada e destes, 56,6% (n=22) perderam algum familiar ou pessoa próxima em decorrência da COVID-19. Medo, sensação de perda, ansiedade e luto, marcaram os estudantes durante esse período. Os três primeiros meses da pandemia já demonstravam um impacto na saúde física e mental dos estudantes de Fonoaudiologia, levando a necessidade de desenvolvimento de redes de apoio e acolhimento na universidade focadas tanto na saúde física e mental como de assistência social.

Abstract:
On March 17, 2020, the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES) suspended face-to-face classes, adhering to the social distance indicated by the state government. Knowing the pandemic's impact on students will allow the planning and elaboration of teaching, research, and extension actions based on this new reality. Our work aimed to analyze data from Speech-Language Pathology students who participated in the research “Analysis of the Conceptions, Experiences, and Practices of Health Students at CCS/UFES during the COVID-19 Pandemic”. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study. We collected data using an online questionnaire. Microsoft Excel, Epi Info™ 7.2.4.0, and WordCloud library and spaCy, in Python, were used for analysis. The course at UFES had 213 students enrolled. Of these, 90 (42.2%) answered the questionnaire. The sample studied was representative of the first to the ninth periods, showing that the group was predominantly female, 90.0% (n = 81) and young (mean= 22.08 years old). Most have a family income below three minimum wages (72.2%, n = 65), and half receive some aid from the university (50%, n = 45). Until the survey's date, 20% (n = 18) thought they had become infected with the Sars-Cov-2 virus. Besides, 56.6% (n = 51) of the students reported having a family member or close person infected, and of these, 56.6% (n = 22) lost a family member or close person due to COVID-19. Fear, feelings of loss, anxiety, and grief, marked the students during this period. The first three months of the pandemic had already demonstrated an impact on Speech-Language Pathology students' physical and mental health, leading to the need to develop support and reception networks at the university focused on both physical and mental health and social assistance.
