O ATENDIMENTO A PACIENTES COM TRANSTORNOS MENTAIS NOS SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE – SOB O OLHAR DA ENFERMAGEM
O preconceito no atendimento a pacientes com transtornos mentais nos serviços de saúde é um assunto que merece atenção por se tratar de um fato recorrente no cotidiano destes indivíduos em pleno século XXI e por ser um problema de saúde pública. O presente estudo objetivou analisar, através da literatura, como o preconceito associado aos pacientes com transtornos mentais interfere no atendimento a esses usuários nos equipamentos de saúde. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, onde formulou-se a seguinte questão clínica: “Quais evidências científicas apontam o preconceito no atendimento a pacientes com transtornos mentais nos serviços de saúde? Consultou-se as Bases de dados PubMed da National Library of Medicine, BVS (Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde) e CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). Utilizou-se estudos disponíveis em sua totalidade, publicados nos anos de 2013 até 2018, nos idiomas Português, Espanhol e Inglês. Dez estudos foram incluídos nesta revisão. Os estudos abordaram como o preconceito pode interferir no atendimento de pacientes com transtornos mentais, o que resultou na demonstração do preconceito como a base para muitos problemas que afetam os pacientes trazendo vários aspectos negativos para o cotidiano dos pacientes/família. Conclui-se que a enfermagem contribui de modo significativo para a alteração desse cenário a qual estão inseridos os pacientes, por meio de atendimento humanizado e integrativo.

Abstract:
Prejudice in the care of mental patients in health services is a matter that deserves attention because it is a recurrent fact in the daily life of these individuals in the XXI century and because it is a public health problem. The present study aimed to analyze, through the literature, how the prejudice associated with mental patients interferes in the care of these users in health equipment. It is an integrative review of the literature, where the following clinical question was formulated: "What scientific evidence points to prejudice in the care of mental patients in health services? The following PubMed databases of the National Library of Medicine, VHL (Virtual Library of Health) and CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). We used available studies in their entirety, published in the years 2013 to 2018, in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Ten studies were included in this review. The studies dealt with how prejudice can interfere with the care of mental patients, which resulted in the demonstration of prejudice as the basis for many problems that affect patients, bringing several negative aspects to the daily life of the patients / family. It is concluded that nursing contributes significantly to the alteration of this scenario to which the patients are inserted, through humanized and integrative care.
