NIVEL DE CONOCIMIENTO Y USO DE MÉTODOS ANTICONCEPTIVOS EN ESTUDIANTES DE NIVEL MEDIO SUPERIOR
Objetivo: Evaluar el nivel de conocimiento y uso de los distintos métodos anticonceptivos
en estudiantes de la UAP1. Metodología: Estudio con enfoque descriptivo de tipo
transversal. La población de interés fueron estudiantes de la UAP1, con un rango de edad
entre 15 y 19 años. El tipo de muestreo fue no probabilístico por conveniencia, quedando
conformado por 36 participantes. Resultados: Referente al género de los participantes, el
38.9% son hombres, mientras que el 61.1% son mujeres, en cuanto a la edad el 94.4%
tienen 18 años, mientras que el 5.5%, tienen 19 años, respecto al nivel de conocimiento el
88.8% conocen los métodos anticonceptivos, mientras que el 11.2% no tienen
conocimientos acerca de los métodos anticonceptivos. De acuerdo a los tipos de métodos
anticonceptivos que conocen, se encontró que, el método anticonceptivo más conocido son
los preservativos tanto masculinos, como femeninos, siendo la obstrucción tubárica
bilateral la menos conocida. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes de

la UAP1 fue regular, siendo el preservativo masculino el método anticonceptivo más
utilizado.

Abstract:
Introduction: The sexual and reproductive behavior of adolescents is influenced by their
socio-cultural environment and their perception of their psycho-affective well-being,
which raises needs and questions about their sexuality. Objective: To evaluate the level of
knowledge and use of different contraceptive methods in students of the UAP1.
Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study. The population of interest was UAP1
students, with an age range between 15 and 19 years old. The type of sampling was non-
probabilistic by convenience, and consisted of 36 participants. Results: Regarding the
gender of the participants, 38.9% are men, while 61.1% are women, in terms of age 94.4%
are 18 years old, while 5.5% are 19 years old, regarding the level of knowledge 88.8%
know about contraceptive methods, while 11.2% have no knowledge about contraceptive
methods. According to the types of contraceptive methods they know, it was found that,
the most known contraceptive method are condoms both male, as well as female, being
bilateral tubal obstruction the least known. Conclusions: The level of knowledge of UAP1
students was regular, being the male condom the most used contraceptive method.
