MODELOS LINEARES MISTOS EM CLONES DE EUCALYPTUS UROPHYLLA NO POLO GESSEIRO DO ARARIPE-PE
O presente estudo teve como objetivo estimar volumes de clones de Eucalyptus urophylla utilizando os modelos lineares mistos. A base de dados foi proveniente do povoamento de clones de Eucalyptus, localizada no Município de Araripina, no semiárido de Pernambuco. O modelo de Schumacher e Hall foi utilizado como testemunha para comparação com os modelos mistos. O modelo linear misto serviu como ferramenta bastante eficaz para modelagem do volume de Eucalyptus urophylla, devido sua flexibilidade, mostrando-se superior ao ajuste do modelo não linear de Schumacher Hall, quando comparado com o valor observado e de acordo com os critérios estabelecidos. Desse modo, acredita-se que o uso desse modelo possa contribuir para a redução dos custos do inventário com aumento de precisão.

Abstract:
The present study aimed to estimate the volume of Eucalyptus urophylla clones by using linear mixed models. The database was provided from the population of Eucalyptus clones, located in the town of Araripina, in the semiarid of Pernambuco. The model Schumacher and Hall was used as a reference for comparison with the mixed models. The linear mixed model served as a very effective tool for modeling the volume of Eucalyptus urophylla, due to its flexibility, being superior to the adjustment of the non-linear model by Schumacher Hall, when compared to the observed value and according to the established criteria. Therefore, it is believed that the use of this model can contribute to a reduction of inventory costs or even improve your accuracy.
