Abstract: - This article aims to analyze the construction of professional teaching identity, taking teachers' memories as a reference. Memory narratives are part of this study as a possibility of understanding the professional teaching identities constructed in the professional trajectories of teachers in the municipality of Abaetetuba Pará. The methodology adopted is based on Oral History, bibliographical research, documentary research and interviews semi-structured, based on the theoretical contribution of Bosi (1994), Maurice Halbwachs (1990), Le Goff (2013), Nóvoa (2014), Gatti (2009). The data indicate that the knowledge and experiences experienced in the field of training and socialized in the teaching profession are possible elements that constitute identity formation and bring us closer to the historical understanding of memory and the construction of professional teaching identity.
