MEMÓRIA DAS TECNOLOGIAS DE COMUNICAÇÕES MÓVEIS DO RN: PASSADO, PRESENTE E FUTURO, INTERLIGADOS.
Este trabalho relata o desenvolvimento de um ação de extensão acadêmica que teve como objetivo principal estabelecer o diálogo entre o passado e o presente, do universo das telecomunicações, resgatando a trajetória das comunicações móveis implantados no Rio Grande do Norte, explorando as novas tecnologias do presente, interligando também um perspectiva cenário futuro, sendo concebido como uma proposta de pesquisa e extensão para o registro da memória cultural, onde a história e a tecnologia caminham juntas, produzindo uma ação de integração entre a pesquisa, extensão e o aprendizado tecnológico. Neste contexto, foi desenvolvida, uma experiência acadêmica e institucional para reconstruir a trajetória das pegadas da evolução das tecnologias e seus impactos, deste importante setor das telecomunicações em todo mundo. As pesquisas geradas foram suportadas por uma metodologia de resgate, classificação e preservação do acervo imaterial, além da avalição das tecnologias empregadas pelas operadoras no RN e seus diversos impactos. Na execução ocorreu o envolvimento das universidades, UFRN, UFERSA e UERN, além de diversas instituições profissionais e operadoras de telecomunicações, construindo uma oportunidade para o fortalecimento das universidades com o setor produtivo de telecomunicações e a sociedade por meio do resgate da memória da participação destas universidade, pela contribuição de profissionais do cursos de engenharia elétrica/telecomunicações, na construção da telefonia móvel do RN. Foi levantado um acervo de mais de 400 fotografias, 250 documentos correlatos, sendo produzidos o planejamento de uma Mostra Fotográfica e um Relatório do Projeto, com a apresentação da reconstrução das pegadas históricas da evolução das tecnologias das comunicações móveis implantadas no RN.

Abstract:
This work reports the development of an academic extension action whose main objective was to establish a dialogue between the past and the present, of the technological universe of telecommunications, rescuing the trajectory of mobile communications implemented in Rio Grande do Norte, exploring the new technologies of the present, also interconnecting a perspective of a future scenario, being conceived as a research and extension proposal for the recording of cultural memory, where history and technology walk together, producing an integration action between research, extension and technological learning. In this context, an academic and institutional experience was developed to reconstruct the trajectory of the footprints of the evolution of technologies and their impacts, of this important telecommunications sector worldwide. The research generated was supported by a methodology for rescuing, classifying and preserving the intangible collection, as well as evaluating the technologies used by operators in the RN and their various impacts. Universities, UFRN, UFERSA and UERN, as well as several professional institutions and telecommunications operators were involved in the execution, building an opportunity to strengthen universities with the telecommunications productive sector and society by rescuing the memory of their participation university, for the contribution of professionals from the electrical engineering/telecommunications courses, in the construction of mobile telephony in RN. A collection of more than 400 photographs, 250 related documents was collected, and a Project Report was produced, with the presentation of the reconstruction of the historical footprints of the evolution of mobile communication technologies implemented in RN.
