Medidas de prevenção e diagnóstico precoce contra o câncer oral
O câncer bucal é um problema de saúde pública que atinge milhões de pessoas no mundo, a etiologia deste é multifatorial e envolve vários fatores. A localização anatômica do câncer de boca torna-o fácil de ser prevenido e estabelecido o seu diagnóstico precocemente, pois o dentista tem fácil acesso à inspeção da lesão. O objetivo do trabalho é descrever sobre medidas de prevenção e o diagnóstico precoce contra o câncer oral. Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, realizada por meio da pesquisa de artigos científicos, nas bases de dados: SCIELO, LILACS e PUBMED com os descritores: Neoplasias Bucais, Diagnóstico, Prevenção e Controle associadas ao operador booleano AND. Inclusão de artigos de revisões de literatura, relatos de casos, entre 2014 à 2020 com textos na íntegra, relevantes em português, inglês. Exclusão de textos incompletos, repetidos e irrelevantes. Foram selecionados 11 artigos que evidenciaram a existência de medidas de prevenção primária e secundária para detecção precoce e rastreamento do câncer oral, a primeira consta da eliminação dos fatores de risco, como o álcool, tabaco e evitar exposição solar sem uso de protetor. A secundária, aponta-se a importância do autoexame, sendo uma excelente estratégia de prevenção o qual o indivíduo procura na cavidade bucal áreas brancas que não cedem à raspagem, áreas avermelhadas, erosões, úlceras e fissuras que não cicatrizam por mais de 15 dias, caroços, inchaços. Nesta prática de autoexame o indivíduo deve ser orientado a procurar um cirurgião dentista para melhor avaliação e diagnóstico precoce da doença. Considerando a importância de que o câncer bucal é um problema de saúde pública devido ao seu diagnóstico não precoce e falta de orientações sobre prevenção, torna-se importante o conhecimento acerca desta doença, bem como medidas de prevenção que orientem a população a realizar autoexame e sempre buscar atendimento odontológico.

Abstract:
Oral cancer is a public health problem that affects millions of people in the world, its etiology is multifactorial and involves several factors. The anatomical location of mouth cancer makes it easy to be prevented and establish its diagnosis early, because the dentist has easy access to inspect the lesion. The objective of the work is to describe prevention measures and early diagnosis against oral cancer. This is a systematic review of the literature, carried out through the research of scientific articles in the databases: SCIELO, LILACS and PUBMED with the descriptors: Oral Neoplasms, Diagnosis, Prevention and Control associated with the Boolean operator AND. Inclusion of articles from literature reviews, case reports, from 2014 to 2020 with full texts, relevant in Portuguese, English. Exclusion of incomplete, repeated and irrelevant texts. 11 articles were selected that showed the existence of primary and secondary prevention measures for early detection and screening of oral cancer, the first is the elimination of risk factors such as alcohol, tobacco, and avoid sun exposure without the use of sunscreen. The secondary one, points out the importance of the self-examination, being an excellent strategy of prevention which the individual looks for in the oral cavity white areas that do not yield to scraping, reddish areas, erosions, ulcers and fissures that do not heal for more than 15 days, lumps, swellings. In this practice of self-examination, the individual should be guided to seek a dentist for better evaluation and early diagnosis of the disease. Considering the importance that oral cancer is a public health problem due to its not early diagnosis and lack of guidelines on prevention, it becomes important the knowledge about this disease, as well as prevention measures that guide the population to perform self-examination and always seek dental care.
