LIGA ACADÊMICA DE NEFROLOGIA: CINCO ANOS DE EXPERIÊNCIA EM EXTENSÃO
Ligas acadêmicas são entidades
estudantis, formadas por discentes e docentes,
que possuem um importante papel na formação
acadêmica do indivíduo, na aquisição de
experiência da prática médica e também
na ampliação dos conhecimentos técnicoscientíficos.
A Liga Acadêmica de Nefrologia
da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa,
criada no ano de 2012, possui como objetivos
primordiais complementar a capacitação
técnica dos estudantes no âmbito da Nefrologia,
estimular a produção científica e facilitar o
contato do acadêmico com a comunidade. O
objetivo deste capítulo é relatar as experiências
e atividades desenvolvidas durante os cinco
anos de atuação da liga e apresentar as
conquistas até o momento. Diversas são as
atividades desenvolvidas pela liga, envolvendo
ambulatórios, enfermarias e aulas expositivas,
com a participação de alunos e professores
experientes no assunto. Desde seu início em
2012, foi produzido grande conhecimento
científico aplicável à comunidade, perfazendo
um total de 25 produções, sendo uma delas
a confecção de um livro voltado aos médicos
inseridos na Atenção Básica à saúde. Sendo
assim, a Liga Acadêmica de Nefrologia,
reiterando seus objetivos iniciais, inseriu o
discente em um contexto ampliado da medicina,
auxiliando na aquisição de conhecimento
profissional e acadêmico, além de ampliar a
produção científica, sempre aplicando-os à
comunidade em que está inserida.

Abstract:
Academic leagues are student
entities, formed by students and teachers,
who play an important role in the academic
formation of the individual, in the acquisition of
experience of medical practice and also in the
expansion of technical and scientific knowledge.
The Academic League of Nephrology of the
State University of Ponta Grossa, created in
the year 2012, has the primary objectives of
complementing the technical training of students
in the field of Nephrology, stimulating scientific
production and facilitating academic contact with
the community. The objective of this chapter is to
report the experiences and activities developed
during the five years of the league’s performance
and present the achievements to date. There
are several activities developed by the league,
involving outpatient clinics, nurses and lectures, with the participation of students and
teachers who are experienced in the subject. Since its inception in 2012, a great amount
of scientific knowledge has been produced, applicable to the community, making a total
of 25 productions, one of them being the production of a book aimed for physicians
inserted in Basic Health Care. Thus, the Academic League of Nephrology, reiterating
its initial objectives, inserted the student in an expanded context of medicine, assisting
in the acquisition of professional and academic knowledge, as well as expanding
scientific production, always applying them to the community in which it is inserted.
