Abstract: The Civil Service Law, also known as the SERVIR Law or Law No. 30057, is a significant milestone in the evolution and modernization of the Peruvian public administration. The public service in Peru is called to improve its efficiency, transparency and professionalization, which motivated the implementation of this law in July 2013. Its main objective is to establish a public management system that values merit and capacity. This study is based on a comprehensive review of primary and secondary sources, including relevant legislation, government reports, academic studies and opinions of public management experts. A qualitative approach was used to critically analyze the background, scope, implementation and relevant aspects of Law No. 30057, a comparative analysis was carried out with similar legislations in other countries to contextualize the civil service reform in the area. The theoretical framework is based on the theories of public management, human resources administration and civil service reform, in order to understand the guiding principles and objectives proposed by the SERVIR Law, as well as its impact on professionalization. transparency and efficiency of the civil service in Peru. The analysis of the collected data was carried out by identifying patterns, trends and challenges in the implementation of the SERVIR Law, as well as evaluating its impact on human resources management and the quality of public services. It is important to recognize that this study is based on information available up to the date of its completion and that the implementation of the SERVIR Law continues to evolve.
