LA WEBQUEST COMO PROPUESTA DE ESTRATEGIA DE ENSEÑANZA-APRENDIZAJE PARA ALUMNOS DE INGENIERÍAS
La necesidad de redimensionar la enseñanza de las matemáticas hacia los intereses y capacidades de los alumnos es un principio pedagógico que en la actualidad ha cobrado fuerza, centrando el aprendizaje en el estudiante. Es un hecho, que los estudiantes de Ingeniería aprenden de maneras diferentes; y que el entorno en que se desarrollan influye en su motivación, y en la forma de enfocar su aprendizaje. El construccionismo (constructivismo + tecnología) aplicado a modernas estrategias de aprendizaje, puede captar la atención de estos estudiantes, para involucrarse vía la indagación en la red, y buscar la información que requieren para la solución de problemas reales. En este estudio, se plantea la caracterización de los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la materia de Métodos Numéricos en Ingeniería, de cinco universidades en la zona metropolitana de Puebla; y se propone una estrategia activa denominada WebQuest, con el ánimo de buscar que los estudiantes se comprometan con su aprendizaje, teniendo al docente en el papel de mentor.

Abstract:
Mathematics teaching needs to be redesigned and restructured as to fit the interests and abilities of students. This a pedagogical principle that nowadays has gained strength, focusing the learning activity on the student. It is a fact that engineering students learn differently, and that the environment in which they develop themselves influences their motivation and the way they approach their learning. Constructionism (constructivism + technology) applied to modern learning strategies, may capture the attention of these students to get involved via online inquiry and search for the information they require to solve real life problems. In this study, the characterization of learning styles of the students of Numerical Methods in engineering from four universities in Puebla metropolitan zone is proposed, and an active strategy called WebQuest is proposed to seek that the students engage in their learning, keeping the teacher in a mentor role.
