• Abstract: This research aims at knowing the way in which the choral practice has been destined as a pedagogical and didactic mediation for the development of teaching strategies in Artistic Education in educative institutions of the Caribbean region , having as a premise its inclusion in the pedagogical research processes, curricular condition and in the  syllabuses of artistic education; in order to enable the improvement of artistic competences, as the perceptive sensibility, production-creation and cultural critic comprehension, channeled to reread, appreciate and value the different expressions and manifestations, promoting likewise the improvement of general competences from a knowledge, a knowledge on how to do and a knowledge on how to be. From this overview, the singing mainstreams from its inter, trans and multi-disciplinary nature, spaces where come together and dialogue the music, dance, drama, plastic art, audiovisual resources, oraliture with other disciplines or areas of knowledge, generating the multi-sensory and multi-dimensional development promoting the creativity and strengthening of artistic aptitudes and attitudes in children and teenagers, offering spaces of cultural inclusion, to an integrative vision. Thus, in this project are presented the theoretical bases for the development to future of a state of the issue that evidences the implications of academic singing in the processes of teaching and learning in the Colombian Caribbean region.
