LA ENSEÑANZA REMOTA DE EMERGENCIA DURANTE LA CONTINGENCIA SANITARIA Y LAS ACCIONES IMPLEMENTADAS POR INSTITUCIONES DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR EN MÉXICO
La contingencia sanitaria originada por el COVID-19 ha impactado en la educación superior en México, obligando a las instituciones a migrar hacia modelos de Enseñanza Remota de Emergencia (ERT por sus siglas en inglés). Este estudio describe las acciones realizadas por 582 Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) ante la contingencia. El objetivo es mostrar una visión a los principios de la ERT y analizar las estrategias implementadas para continuar con los servicios educativos por parte de las IES mexicanas. Como resultados, la toma de decisiones de las IES fue fundamental para la implementación de modelos de ERT y acciones institucionales, se logró el consenso al interior de la institución para actuar, informando que en el 52.2% de los casos el titular o el colegio de directores fueron quien tomaron las decisiones, el 30.3% de los casos lograron acuerdos colegiados por facultad o unidad académica y en el 17.4% de los casos las instituciones lograron que los acuerdos se emitieran desde el máximo órgano colegiado (SEP-ANUIES, 2020). ¿La Enseñanza Remota de Emergencia será utilizada nuevamente para el próximo periodo escolar de otoño? Las IES deben estar planeando estratégicamente las acciones ante la incertudumbre que se visulmbra para los próximos meses.

Abstract:
The health contingency originated by COVID-19 has impacted higher education in Mexico, forcing institutions to migrate towards Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) models. This study describes the actions carried out by 582 Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the face of contingency. The objective is to show a vision of the ERT principles and analyze the strategies implemented to continue with educational services by Mexican HEIs. As a result, the decision-making of the HEIs was fundamental for the implementation of ERT models and institutional actions, consensus was reached within the institution to act, reporting that in 52.2% of the cases the head or the directors were the ones who made the decisions, 30.3% of the cases reached collegial agreements by academic unit and in 17.4% of the cases the institutions managed to get the agreements issued from the highest collegiate body (SEP-ANUIES, 2020). Will Emergency Remote Teaching be used again for the upcoming fall school term? The HEIs must be strategically planning the actions in the face of the uncertainty that is looming for the coming months.
