Abstract: Upper Secondary Education is the system with the highest school dropout rate in Compulsory Education in Mexico. Dropout rates fluctuate between 12 and 15% at the national level. In the case of CONALEP Huatabampo, the subject of study in this research, dropout rates have been on the rise for the last three generations: the 2019-2021 generation had a dropout rate of 16.2%, the 2020-2023 generation had 18.4%, and the 2021-2024 generation had 29.1%. As the data above shows, the percentages are well above the national average, so it was necessary to carry out research on the factors that are influencing the increase in student dropout rates. The study was carried out using a qualitative approach, conducting interviews with a population sample of 50 students out of a total of 337 in the school, as well as 10 teachers and 15 parents. The information obtained was analyzed and categorized by recording the data in an Excel spreadsheet, and then comparing the information with the findings of other studies and the state of the art constructed by various authors.
