INTERVENÇÃO DOMICILIAR PARA CUIDADORES DE IDOSOS: RELATO DE CASO
Introdução: O cuidador de idoso presta os cuidados a pessoa acima de 60 anos, que precisa de auxílio, sendo um familiar ou não. Objetivo: Relatar o caso de uma cuidadora após intervenção realizada em visita domiciliar. Relato: Trata-se de um relato de caso ocorrido em janeiro de 2019 durante atividade acadêmica. O relato foi vivenciado por uma graduanda de fisioterapia, com uma cuidadora, de 30 anos, que prestava assistência ao pai de 63 anos, vítima de recorrentes AVCs, com dependência total para as AVD’s. Durante visita domiciliar, a estudante aplicou a escala de Zarit, a escala analógica de dor e um questionário estruturado. Foi entregue uma cartilha contendo informações importantes para a saúde física do cuidador, a exemplo: exercícios e relaxamento físicos, alongamentos, posturas adequadas durante o cuidado, sendo todos orientados pela estudante de fisioterapia. Após duas semanas, a graduanda retornou ao domicílio da cuidadora para avaliar se as intervenções da cartilha foram resolutivas para a redução dos agravos e sobrecarga impostas. Discussão: Com a aplicação dos diferentes instrumentos para avaliação da sobrecarga física, foi constatado que a cuidadora sentia dor no corpo, particularmente ombralgia e cervicalgia. Foi evidenciado que a cuidadora apresentava sobrecarga severa na escala de Zarit e relatava cansaço, insônia e exaustão. Essa sobrecarga está relacionada ao cuidado integral ao idoso, de forma que o cuidador não prioriza a sua saúde, o que interfere na qualidade dos cuidados prestados. A cuidadora relatou ainda que as intervenções foram eficazes, melhorando sua postura e reduzindo a dor. Conclusão: Deste modo, o cuidador de idosos dependentes precisa do olhar da equipe de saúde, em especial, a fisioterapia para orientá-los a realização do autocuidado e do cuidado ao idoso, reduzindo assim a sobrecarga física da prestação do cuidado.

Abstract:
Introduction: Elderly caregivers provide care to people over 60 years of age, who need help, being they are family members or not. Objective: To present the case of a caregiver after the intervention performed in a home visit. Report: This is a case report that occurred in January 2019 during academic activity. The report was experienced by a physiotherapy student, with a 30 year old caregiver, who assisted the 63 year old father, a victim of recurrent CVAs, with total dependence on ADL's. During home visits, the student applied the Zarit scale, the analogue pain scale and a structured questionnaire. A booklet containing important information for the caregiver's physical health was delivered, for example: physical exercises and relaxation, stretching, appropriate postures during care, all being guided by the student of physiotherapy. After two weeks, the student returned to the caregiver's home to assess whether the interventions in the booklet were resolvable to reduce the problems and burden imposed. Discussion: With the application of different instruments to assess physical overload, it was found that the caregiver felt pain in the body, particularly shoulder pain and neck pain. It was evidenced that the caregiver had severe overload on the Zarit scale and reported tiredness, insomnia and exhaustion. This burden is related to comprehensive care for the elderly, so that the caregiver does not prioritize their health, which interferes with the quality of care provided. The caregiver also reported that the interventions were effective, improving her posture and reducing pain. Conclusion: In this way, the caregiver of dependent elderly people needs the view of the health team, in particular, physiotherapy to guide them in the realization of self-care and care for the elderly, thus reducing the physical burden of providing care.
