Integrando a Matemática com as abelhas
Relacionar teoria e prática nos cursos técnicos integrados ao Ensino Médio têm-se tornado cada dia mais essencial. Nesse sentido, temos o relato de um Projeto de Iniciação Científica (Pbic-Jr) que possibilitou a associação entre as disciplinas de Matemática e Produção Animal do curso Técnico em Agropecuária do Ifes – campus Montanha. Consistiu em estudar o comportamento das abelhas Apis mellifera modelado pela matemática, sobretudo em sua relação com os conteúdos de funções e sequências. A pesquisa classificou-se como exploratório-descritiva (GIL, 2018, p. 26-27). Os dados foram coletados em fontes documentais, e a partir da observação sistemática. Para análise dos dados coletados, entendemos que alguns passos foram essenciais: a codificação dos dados; o estabelecimento de categorias de análise; a exibição dos dados que significou a elaboração e escrita do relatório com as informações coletadas; e a busca de significados, finalizando o relatório (GIL, 2018, p. 110). Com a aplicação desta metodologia, analisando os modelos matemáticos presentes na situação problema, foi possível enxergar uma matemática aplicável e interessante na pesquisa do comportamento das abelhas.

Abstract:
Relating theory and practice in technical courses integrated to high school has become increasingly essential. In this sense, we have the report of a Scientific Initiation Project (Pbic-Jr) that made possible the association between the subjects of Mathematics and Animal Production of the Ifes Technical Course in Agriculture and Livestock - Ifes campus - Montanha. It consisted of studying the behavior of Apis mellifera bees modeled by mathematics, especially in relation to the content of functions and sequences. The research was classified as exploratory-descriptive (GIL, 2018, p. 26-27). The data were collected from documentary sources, and from systematic observation. For the analysis of the collected data, we understand that some steps were essential: the coding of the data; the establishment of analysis categories; the display of the data that meant the elaboration and writing of the report with the collected information; and the search for meanings, finalizing the report (GIL, 2018, p. 110). With the application of this methodology, analyzing the mathematical models present in the problem situation, it was possible to see an applicable and interesting mathematics in the research of the behavior of bees.
