Abstract: Innovation as a strategic process of an organization goes beyond the development of new technologies, products and services, as it involves various actions, such as the generation of new business models, new organizational processes, new ways of meeting market needs, and new ways of competing in the organizational environment. As for an innovative company, Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes can be mentioned, whose brand can be considered a pioneer in implementing certain innovation strategies when it began its activities in the passenger air transport sector in Brazil in 2001. The research aimed to analyze the innovation strategies adopted by Gol when it began its activities in the passenger air transport sector. The research was configured as a case study, of a qualitative nature, with collection of secondary data from reports on the organization that was the focus of the research, dissertations and scientific articles from periodicals, as well as research in documents available on the Gol website and in public agencies and associations that contained information related to the segment in which the researched company operates. It was concluded that the strategies developed by Gol covered, nationally, the creation, in Brazilian passenger air transport, of a new business model that provided ways to meet consumer demands with new organizational processes that resulted in other methods of competition in the organizational environment.
