Abstract: The present study explores the social inclusion of People with Disabilities (PwD), especially in teaching and health work settings. The objective is to analyze the reflections and actions regarding the social inclusion of PwD who advance their citizenship, in the context of higher education and health work, in accordance with national literature. This is an explanatory narrative study, carried out through searches in the Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and VHL (Virtual Health Library) databases. For this, the Health Science descriptors (DECs) “People with disabilities”, “Social inclusion” and “Higher Education” were used in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Furthermore, the Boolean operator “AND” and a time limit of five years (2020-2024) were used. The selection of studies that took place in September 2024 was peer-reviewed and varied over a period of up to five years (2020 to 2024). After analyzing 35 studies, nine were selected to produce this review. As a result, it was possible to map practices and actions aimed at the process of inclusion and citizenship of PwD, both in universities and in the work context, requiring, however, greater appropriation and involvement of the actors, in partnership with the reference associations.
