Abstract: This article addresses the complex problem of corruption in Peru, analyzing its geographical distribution, the associated economic costs and its impact on different sectors of the State during the period 2022-2024. Through an analysis of quantitative data, the regions with the highest risk of corruption are identified, highlighting Moquegua, Pasco and Madre de Dios as the most vulnerable. In addition, Metropolitan Lima is presented as the region with the highest economic cost of corruption, reflecting its central position in public administration and the national economy. The results show that the sectors most affected by corruption are education, health and transportation, which is of particular concern due to the critical importance of these services for the country's social and economic development. These findings underscore the urgent need to strengthen anti-corruption policies and improve control and transparency mechanisms in all regions and sectors of Peru. Finally, the study concludes that corruption not only represents a significant diversion of public resources, but also erodes citizen confidence in institutions, negatively affecting development and governance in the country.
