IMPACTOS PSICOLÓGICOS RELACIONADOS À SEXUALIDADE MASCULINA DURANTE O TRATAMENTO DE CÂNCER DE PRÓSTATA: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA
Introdução: De acordo com o Instituto Nacional do Câncer, o câncer de próstata é um dos mais comuns entre os homens, ainda assim, para essa população é um tabu falar sobre esse assunto, seus sintomas e efeitos colaterais físicos do tratamento, e este último, pode trazer sofrimento e adoecimento mental ao homem devido as várias alterações relacionadas à sua sexualidade. Objetivo: Evidenciar que a sexualidade do homem é prejudicada no tratamento de câncer de próstata e há impactos psicológicos negativos como consequência. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura (RIL) realizada na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, onde os artigos que atenderam à proposta da pesquisa foram encontrados e selecionados na base de dados Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO). Revisão da literatura: Foram encontrados seis artigos sobre a temática, os quais evidenciaram que os homens acometidos pelo câncer de próstata e submetidos ao tratamento, tem um grande prejuízo na sua saúde mental, podendo interferir na sua qualidade de vida e adquirir transtornos psicológicos. Conclusão: De acordo com os estudos referenciados, podemos observar a importância da equipe multidisciplinar para acompanhar o paciente e tratar de cada problema ou dificuldade emergente, sejam eles físicos ou mentais, o risco de disfunção erétil durante o tratamento existe, mas pode ser menor quanto mais cedo a doença for detectada, ela pode ser temporária, mas, se for permanente, há medicamentos, próteses e implantes que funcionam bem.

Abstract:
Introduction: According to the National Cancer Institute, prostate cancer is one of the most common among men, yet for this population it is taboo to talk about this subject, its symptoms and physical side effects of treatment, and the latter, can bring suffering and mental illness to men due to the various changes related to their sexuality. Objective: To evidence that man's sexuality is impaired in the treatment of prostate cancer and there are negative psychological impacts as a consequence. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review (RIL) conducted at the Virtual Health Library, where the articles that met the research proposal were found and selected from the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) database. Re-view of the literature: Six articles on the subject were found, which showed that men affected by prostate cancer and submitted to treatment have a great impairment in their mental health, which may interfere in their quality of life and acquire psychological disorders. Conclusion: According to the studies referenced, we can observe the importance of the multidisciplinary team to monitor the patient and treat each problem or difficulty emerging, whether physical or mental, the risk of erectile dysfunction during treatment exists, but it may be lower the sooner the disease is detected, it can be temporary, but if it is permanent, there are medications, prostheses and implants that work well.
