IMPACTO EMOCIONAL DE LA COVID 19 Y RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO EN LOS ALUMNOS DE NIVEL SUPERIOR DE ENFERMERÍA ZONA PACÍFICO
Objetivo: Conocer el impacto emocional que ocasionó la COVID-19 y el rendimiento
académico en los estudiantes de nivel superior en enfermería en zona pacífico en los alumnos
de las facultades y Escuelas de la ARFEE ZP. Metodología: Estudio con enfoque
cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal observacional. La población de interés fueron
estudiantes de distintos estados de la zona pacifico de México. El tipo de muestreo fue por

conglomerados, con un nivel de confianza del 95%, margen de error del 5%, una Desviación
Estándar (DE) del 60%, heterogeneidad del 60% obtenida mediante EPIDAT .4. Resultados:
referente al género de los participantes, el 79.1% son femenino y el 20.9% masculino, en
cuanto el nivel de ansiedad-estado fue el 20.1%% sin estado de ansiedad, 51.1% moderado, el
21.3% leve y 7.5% severo, respecto al nivel de ansiedad-rasgo, el 23.6% sin ansiedad, el
39.4% moderado, 22.7% leve y el 14.4% severo. Referente al rendimiento académico las
calificaciones de final de semestre antes y después de la pandemia a nivel global que se vivió,
se pudo encontrar que hubo un ligero aumento en la presentación de calificaciones altas en el
semestre después de la pandemia por COVID-19. Conclusiones: A pesar de las diversas
dificultades que se presentaron a lo largo de la pandemia, la población estudiantil no registro
graves daños a nivel de ansiedad estado y rasgo, al igual que en la representación del
rendimiento académico antes y después de la pandemia.

Abstract:
Introduction: The recent pandemic of the Acute Respiratory Syndrome caused by the virus
(SARS-CoV-2) causing the disease COVID-19 shook the world at all levels and lifestyles,
urgently generating the closure of borders in the productive sectors, affecting millions of
people worldwide in all areas of life. Objective: To know the emotional impact caused by
COVID-19 and academic performance in higher level students in nursing in pacific zone in the
students of the faculties and Schools of ARFEE ZP. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive,
cross-sectional observational study. The population of interest was students from different
states of the Pacific zone of Mexico. The type of sampling was by clusters, with a confidence
level of 95%, margin of error of 5%, a Standard Deviation (SD) of 60%, heterogeneity of 60%
obtained by EPIDAT .4. Results: regarding the gender of the participants, 79.1% were female
and 20.9% male, regarding the anxiety-state level, 20.1%% were without anxiety, 51.1%
moderate, 21.3% mild and 7.5% severe, regarding the anxiety-trait level, 23.6% were without3
anxiety, 39.4% moderate, 22.7% mild and 14.4% severe. Regarding academic performance the
end of semester grades before and after the global pandemic experienced, it could be found
that there was a slight increase in the presentation of high grades in the semester after the
pandemic by COVID-19. Conclusions: Despite the various difficulties encountered throughout
the pandemic, the student population did not register serious impairments at the state and trait
anxiety levels, as well as in the representation of academic performance before and after the
pandemic.
