Imagem e poder: A fabricação de Luiz XIV e Dom Pedro Ii
O presente trabalho visa mostrar a
importância da construção da imagem pública
de reis modernos, tomando como foco Luís XIV
(da França) e Dom Pedro II (do Brasil). Para
isso nos debruçaremos sobre as estratégias
utilizadas por eles para a manutenção de seu
poder. A realeza moderna pode ser caracterizada
como tendo um caráter teatral, compondo
uma dimensão simbólica do poder político.
Com isso observa-se através dos rituais e da
representação presentes na mesma que há
uma mística que envolve a figura do monarca,
esta que impressiona e ao mesmo tempo abala
seu público-alvo, por ser tamanho o poder
que demonstra, que acaba por transcender a
sociedade de seu tempo, chegando até os dias
atuais, e corroborando para a tão sonhada
imortalidade do Príncipe, por meio de sua
imagem e a bagagem trazida por ela.

Abstract:
The present work aims to show
the importance of the construction of the public
image of modern kings, demonstrating this
practice from Louis XIV (France) and Dom
Pedro II (Brazil). In order to do so, we will focus
on the strategies used by them to maintain their
power. Modern royalty can be characterized
as having a theatrical character, composing
a symbolic dimension of political power. With
this it is observed through the rituals and the
representation present in the same one that
there is a mystique that involves the figure of
the monarch, this one that impresses and at
the same time shakes his target audience, for
being size the power that demonstrates, that
ends up transcending the society of his time,
to the present day, and corroborating to the so
dreamed immortality of the Prince, through his
image and the baggage brought by it.
