• Abstract: The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology in Rio Grande do Sul Campus Camaquã, faces, as well as other educational institutions throughout the Brazil, the challenge of school dropout. This problem is especially worrying in Brazilian education, with secondary education recording the highest dropout rate in 2023. From this perspective, it generally occurs more markedly in the two first semesters of courses compared to other years. Furthermore, Several factors, both internal and external to the school environment, can contribute to student dropout. In this sense, this project aims to objectives to understand the main difficulties and desires of those entering the technical course in Environmental Control integrated into high school at IFSul Camaquã and carry out an action that promotes their well-being within the school. As methodology, we used the Design Thinking approach structured into five stages: empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping and evaluation. The collection data was collected through an online questionnaire with second-year students of the technical course in Environmental Control, generating a map of empathy with the persona - personification of the target audience - and a matrix for delimiting the problem. It became clear that the persona's main problems were the socialization difficulties and the experience of negative feelings such as anxiety and stress. Thus, as a product, conversation circles were developed during the class schedule with students in the first and second years of the technical course in Environmental Control with themes based on the problems identified, in addition to fun dynamics and snacks to provide a welcoming, interactive, of learning and exchanging ideas. Therefore, in the evaluation, the prototype had the approval of the persona and through Design Thinking it was possible to create a space that promoted the well-being of entrants.
