IDOSOS, VELHICE E ENVELHECIMENTO: A EDUCAÇÃO HUMANIZA(?)
Este texto é fruto de nossas inquietações sobre o papel da educação na perspectiva de humanização. Nele, buscamos tratar do tema que emerge diante de um cenário de envelhecimento populacional. O quadro teórico contou com referências das obras de Paulo Freire, Beauvoir, Canguilhem, Baltes e Neri, entre outros pesquisadores contemporâneos. O objetivo é sensibilizar outras pessoas para a importância da temática, na busca de uma sociedade que possa construir um novo mundo, mais humano e solidário. Para isso, dividimos o texto em seções: O envelhecimento na (e como) ciência, na qual trazemos a concepção de desenvolvimento ao longo da vida; Idadismo: preconceito etário e educação, seção em que apresentamos o conceito e suas implicações para a ação educativa; A educação como condição de humanização do ser, na qual compartilhamos as ideias freireanas; concepções de saúde e as políticas de cuidado ao idoso, seção em que anunciamos nosso entendimento do termo saúde; e, por último, a seção Cuidado e Políticas Públicas para o Envelhecimento, que trata dos direitos a serem alcançados para que a educação, realmente, humanize.

Abstract:
This text is the result of our concerns about the role of education in the perspective of humanization. In it, we seek to address the topic that emerges in the face of a population aging scenario. The theoretical framework included references to the works of Paulo Freire, Beauvoir, Canguilhem, Baltes and Neri, among other contemporary researchers. The objective is to make other people aware of the importance of the theme, in search of a society that can build a new, more human and supportive world. For this purpose, we divided the text into sections: Aging in (and how) science, in which we bring the concept of development throughout life; Ageism: age prejudice and education, section in which we introduce the concept and its implications for educational action; Education as a condition for the humanization of being, in which we share Freire's ideas; Conceptions of health and care policies for the elderly, a section in which we announce our understanding of the term health; and, last, the Care and Public Policies for Aging section, which deals with the rights to be achieved so that education can really humanize.
