IDOSOS PARAIBANOS TRABALHADORES
Em um país onde a expectativa de
vida encontra-se em crescimento, é importante
pesquisar acerca dos fatores que contribuem
para uma melhor qualidade de vida da
população idosa. Neste contexto, a atividade
e a autonomia ocupam um lugar de destaque.
Assim, o tema a ser destacado é o trabalho,
entendendo que idosos ainda permanecem no
mercado de trabalho, conseguindo, a partir de
seus trabalhos, uma maior qualidade de vida,
e portanto, causa neles independência de suas
famílias, e autonomia para gastar o dinheiro
onde e como quiser; fatores relacionados a uma
boa qualidade de vida na velhice. Qualidade
de vida esta que está ligada ao estilo de vida
de cada pessoa. O presente trabalho tem
como objetivo mostrar a independência dos
moradores do Habitacional Cidade Madura
com os possíveis efeitos da participação
ativa no trabalho para sua qualidade de vida.
O trabalho consistiu de um levantamento
bibliográfico e pesquisa de campo a partir
dos dados da dissertação de Kunst no ano
de 2016, abordando no corpo do texto os
temas: “envelhecimento ativo”, “qualidade
de vida” e “trabalho”, temas norteadores do
trabalho. Entre os resultados, foi necessário
listar o perfil sociodemográfico (sexo, idade,
renda, escolaridade, estado civil) dos idosos,
para melhor visualização dos leitores e
melhor discussão dos dados, culminando
com a discussão desses dados com os temas
envelhecimento ativo e qualidade de vida, que
são importantes fatores para essa faixa etária.
As considerações finais demonstraram que os
idosos procuram viver mais fora de casa do
que “ficar esperando a morte chegar”.

Abstract:
In a country where life expectancy
is growing, it is important to research the factors
that contribute to a better quality of life for the
elderly population. In this context, activity and
autonomy occupy a prominent place. Thus, the
theme to be highlighted is work, understanding
that the elderly still remain in the labor market,
achieving, from their work, a higher quality of
life, and therefore, causes them independence
from their families, and autonomy to spend
the money wherever and however it pleases;
factors related to a good quality of life in old age. Quality of life is linked to the lifestyle
of each person. The present study aims to show the independence of residents of the
Habitacional Cidade Madura with the possible effects of active participation in work for
their quality of life. The work consisted of a bibliographical survey and field research
from the data of the dissertation of Kunst in the year of 2016, addressing in the body of
the text the themes: “active aging”, “quality of life” and “work”, themes guiding the job.
Among the results, it was necessary to list the socio-demographic profile (sex, age,
income, education, marital status) of the elderly, to better understand the readers and
to better discuss the data, culminating in the discussion of these data with the themes
of active aging and quality of life, which are important factors for this age group. Final
considerations have shown that older people seek to live longer outside the home than
to “wait until death comes.”
