IDENTIFICACIÓN TAXONÓMICA, PROPAGACIÓN SEXUAL Y ASEXUAL DE TRES ESPECIES DE LITSEA (LAURACEAE) EN DIFERENTES AGROECOSISTEMAS DE MÉXICO
El Laurel es un importante recurso forestal no maderable en varias regiones de México, usualmente no es cultivado, por lo tanto, las poblaciones naturales de este género enfrentan diversos problemas debido a la extracción excesiva y comercio sin control. Por otra parte, se conoce poco acerca de la distribución y propagación de estas especies. En el presente proyecto se colectaron muestras de material vegetativo de Litsea en diferentes agroecosistemas de los estados de Hidalgo y Puebla México. Como resultado se identificaron tres especies: L. pringlei, L. schaffneri y L. glauscenses. Para la propagación vegetativa, se consiguieron resultados positivos, teniendo los mejores porcentajes en el acodo aéreo, específicamente para L. schaffneri. Finalmente, el acodo aéreo puede ser una buena opción para la propagación de estas especies

Abstract:
The bay plant is an important non-woody resource in different regions of Mexico, usually is not cultivated, thus the populations are facing several problems due to the excessive removal and uncontrolled trade. In the other hand, little is known about the distribution and propagation of these species. In the present work, Litsea samples were collected in different agroecosystems from Hidalgo and Puebla, Mexico. Three species were identified: L. pringlei, L. schaffneri and L. glauscenses.
Regarding the vegetative propagation, there were good result for the air layering in L. schaffneri. The air layering can be a good option to propagate this species
