IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE ESCOLIOSE EM ESTUDANTES DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL
A escoliose é um problema ortopédico em que encontramos um desvio lateral da coluna vertebral, podendo se localizar na região cervical, torácica ou lombar. É uma patologia ortopédica que acomete predominantemente crianças e adolescentes e, devido às alterações que acarreta, torna-se um problema significativo para o desenvolvimento dos indivíduos. Com objetivo de identificar precocemente alterações posturais do tipo Escoliose em alunos do 4º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola municipal da cidade de Uruguaiana, foi realizado um relato de experiência através das atividades práticas realizadas durante uma disciplina do 6º semestre do Curso de Fisioterapia da Universidade Federal do Pampa, em Uruguaiana, no período do segundo semestre de 2016. Foi utilizado para a avaliação o protocolo CNT e o Teste de Adams. Dos 21 sujeitos avaliados, 11 eram do sexo masculino e 10 feminino, na qual 6 apresentaram alterações nos testes aplicados, sendo 2 meninas e 4 meninos. Observa-se no presente estudo que apesar da maioria das crianças não apresentarem alterações posturais do tipo escoliose, é importante identificar o mais cedo possível estas alterações para que se possa oferecer um programa educativo e preventivo aos alunos.

Abstract:
Scoliosis is an orthopedic problem in which we find a lateral deviation of the spine, which can be located in the cervical, thoracic or lumbar region. It is an orthopedic pathology that predominantly affects children and adolescents and, due to the changes it causes, it becomes a significant problem for the development of individuals. In order to identify scoliosis-type postural changes early in students of the 4th year of elementary school at a municipal school in the city of Uruguaiana, an experience report was made through the practical activities carried out during a discipline of the 6th semester of the Physiotherapy Course at the Universidade Federal do Pampa, in Uruguaiana, in the period of the second semester of 2016. The CNT protocol and the Adams Test were used for the evaluation. Of the 21 subjects evaluated, 11 were male and 10 female, in which 6 presented changes in the applied tests, being 2 girls and 4 boys. It is observed in the present study that although most children do not present scoliosis-type postural changes, it is important to identify these changes as early as possible so that an educational and preventive program can be offered to students.
