HUMANIZAÇÃO NOS PRESÍDIOS: ESTUDO SOBRE GESTÃO SOLIDÁRIA
O sistema prisional tem como
propósito criar oportunidades para a
humanização das pessoas privadas de
liberdade. Entretanto, o alcance deste
desiderato é dificilmente alcançável, sobretudo
em presídios como Bangu V, no Rio de Janeiro,
destinado à facção do comando vermelho. O
objetivo deste estudo consiste em analisar e
interpretar o discurso e as práticas da doutora
Maria de Lourdes Figueira Duarte, relacionadas
à melhoria das condições de vida e convivência
no presídio Bangu V. Na etnografia do cotidiano
do presídio e, sobretudo, na análise de conteúdo
das entrevistas, constata-se que as ideias
da gestora e as práticas que ela conduz se
aproximam do programa de felicidade interna
bruta, apoiado pelo PNUD e implantado no reino
do Butão. Os principais resultados do estudo,
com proposta de intervenção, estão sintetizados
em um livro com análise e interpretação dos
dados, um caderno de orientação para o gestor
prisional e um software com informações sobre
o trabalho realizado em Bangu V.

Abstract:
The proposals of the prison system
are to create opportunities for humanizing of
people deprived of freedom. Nevertheless,
this proposal is hard do achieve, specially in
institutions like Bangu V, occupied by members
of red command. The goal of this study is
to analyze and interpret the discourse and
practices of Maria de Lourdes Figueira Duarte,
manager of the prison named Bangu V. In every
day ethnography and in the analysis of content
of interviews and practices, it has been verified
that the main ideas and practices of Maria de
Lourdes are very close to the program of gross
internal happiness supported by PNUD and
now operating in the kingdom of Butan. The
main results of the study, in what concerns
intervention, are a book, about prisonal
managing, with analysis and interpretation of
the data, a handbook with usefull ideas for the
manager and a software with information about
the work done at Bangu V. The main results of
