HORTICULTURA, JARDINAGEM E ARTESANATO COMO ATIVIDADES AUXILIARES AO TRATAMENTO DE PACIENTES DO CAPS DE VIDEIRA-SC
O trabalho trata de um projeto de extensão que teve início no ano 2017, realizado pelo Instituto Federal Caterinense Campus Videira-SC em parceria com o Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS). Teve como objetivo aplicar técnicas de horticultura, jardinagem e artesanato que auxiliam o tratamento de pacientes do CAPS da cidade de Videira-SC . O projeto foi executado por docentes e discentes do curso Técnico em Agropecuária, que utilizaram os conhecimentos construídos em sala de para serem desenvolvidos com pacientes com transtornos psiquiátricos. Na horta, foram realizadas atividades de preparo dos canteiros, plantio, manejo e colheita. No artesanato, foram realizados trabalhos com decoração de garrafas e caixas Tetra Pak. Com relação as atividades de paisagismo, foram realizados os tratos culturais e o plantio de flores da estação em pneus e tonéis no jardim. Como resultado, o projeto disseminou técnicas referents as áreas trabalhadas, proporcionando aos pacientes benefícios como, por exemplo, movimentação corporal, inserção social, desenvolvimento da coordenação motora, aquisição de conhecimentos técnicos referentes às atividades de horticultura e jardinagem, bem como a formação humanitária e profissional dos estudantes envolvidos no projeto. As atividades possibilitaram que os pacientes levassem hortaliças para sua alimentação e de seus familiares, em suas residências. Ainda, o projeto cumpriu com o papel de disseminação do conhecimento à comunidade através da extensão. O projeto recebeu premiações em importantes eventos científicos, e o reconhecimento de instituições públicas do Município de Videira.

Abstract:
The work deals with an extension project that began in the year 2017, carried out by the Federal Caterinense Campus Campus Videira-SC in partnership with the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS). Its objective was to apply horticulture, gardening and handicraft techniques that help the treatment of patients at CAPS in the city of Videira-SC. The project was carried out by professors and students of the Agricultural Technician course, who used the knowledge built in the classroom to be developed with patients with psychiatric disorders. In the garden, activities were carried out to prepare the beds, plant, manage and harvest. In handicrafts, work was carried out with the decoration of Tetra Pak bottles and boxes. With regard to landscaping activities, cultural treatments and planting of seasonal flowers were carried out in tires and vats in the garden. As a result, the project disseminated techniques referring to the areas worked on, providing patients with benefits such as, for example, body movement, social insertion, development of motor coordination, acquisition of technical knowledge related to horticulture and gardening activities, as well as humanitarian training and students involved in the project. The activities made it possible for patients to take vegetables for their food and that of their families, in their homes. In addition, the project fulfilled the role of disseminating knowledge to the community through extension. The project received awards at important scientific events, and recognition from public institutions in the Municipality of Videira.
