HISTÓRIAS DE CUIDADO: REFLEXÕES FENOMENOLÓGICAS SOBRE EXPERIÊNCIAS DE CUIDADORES DE IDOSOS
O envelhecimento populacional vem crescendo consideravelmente e questões como dependência física, surgimento de doenças crônicas e incapacidades também tem crescido, sendo fatores que levam o idoso à dependência funcional. A família é que geralmente assume o cuidado diário ao idoso dependente. As mudanças que ocorrem ao se assumir esse papel de cuidador são diversas e afetam o sujeito de forma integral, desde suas atividades diárias, interação social até seus sentimentos. Objetivando contribuir para o atendimento e cuidado a essa população, este estudo buscou compreender a experiência de ser cuidador informal de idoso, a partir da perspectiva de quem vivencia essa realidade. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo e de enfoque fenomenológico-existencial, que se baseou nas ideias apresentadas pelo filósofo alemão Martin Heidegger para realizar as reflexões. Foram feitas entrevistas com quatro colaboradoras, cujo conteúdo foi organizado a partir de temáticas que emergiram mediante as afetações do encontro com cada entrevistada e com suas narrativas. Os resultados evidenciaram a questão das diferenças de gênero, que emerge também quando se fala em cuidar. Além disso, outras questões que surgiram ao se debruçar sobre as narrativas foram as diversas formas de expressão do cuidado, termo este refletido a partir das considerações heideggerianas, que apresenta o cuidado como característica ontológica do ser humano. Ademais, foram observados que as entrevistadas se depararam com questões existenciais como morte, angústia e temporalidade. Ao final, o estudo provoca reflexões a respeito da necessidade de um olhar mais atencioso para a saúde física e psíquica dos cuidadores familiares.

Abstract:
Ageing population has been growing considerably as well as issues such as physical dependence, the appearance of chronic diseases and disabilities, factors that lead elderly people to functional dependence. Families usually take care of the dependent elderly. When taking on the role of caregiver, many are the changes one may experience. These changes affect the individuals integrally, their daily activities, social interactions and even their feelings. This study intended to understand the experience of being an informal caregiver from the perspective of those who face this reality, aiming to contribute to the assistance and care of this population. This is a qualitative research, with an existential-phenomenological approach, in which the reflections made are based upon the ideas of the German philosopher Martin Heidegger. Four interviews were carried out. The content of these interviews was organized by considering themes that emerged from the stiltedness of the meetings that happened with the interviewees and their narratives. The results revealed an emphasis on the genre differences’ issues, which also arises when talking about care. In addition, the narratives made other issues arise, like the several ways of expression of care, term based upon Heidegger’s considerations, as an ontological characteristic of human beings. Furthermore, it was possible to notice that the interviewees came across existential issues such as death, anguish and temporality. Finally, this study provokes reflections about the necessity of paying attention to the physical and mental health of family caregivers.
