Abstract: Introduction: Hypertension is a serious public health problem in Paraná, especially in low-income communities, where inadequate diagnosis and treatment increase the risk of complications and death. Objective: To analyze the indicators of hypertension and deaths in Paraná. Methods: Integrative review study, conducted according to the following steps: elaboration of the research question, literature search, categorization of studies, critical evaluation, interpretation of results and presentation of the integrative review. The Pubmed/Medline, Cochrane Library and VHL (Virtual Health Library) databases were used. Results: The systematic search identified 20 articles on deaths from hypertension in Paraná, Brazil. The qualitative analysis highlighted that hypertension is one of the main causes of death in the region, contributing significantly to cardiovascular diseases, strokes and heart problems. These findings highlight the importance of preventive measures and interventions to reduce hypertension-related mortality in the state. Conclusion: The data emphasize the substantial impact of hypertension on health in Paraná, Brazil, highlighting the urgency of preventive and treatment strategies, in addition to the need for research to understand its causes and develop specific interventions.
