HIGIENIZAÇÃO DAS MÃOS COMO MEDIDAS DE PREVENÇÃO DESENVOLVIDAS POR EQUIPE MULTIDISCIPLINAR EM CENTRO CIRÚRGICO PARA A SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE
O objetivo principal deste estudo foi avaliar a adesão à higienização das mãos por profissionais da equipe multiprofissional em saúde do centro cirúrgico. Tratou-se de um estudo de revisão da literatura de aspecto descritivo baseado em informações obtidas das bases de dados BVS e PubMed, de artigos publicados entre junho de 2016 e junho de 2021. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que 70% dos profissionais de saúde não realizam a higienização das mãos de forma frequente e que 26% da equipe multiprofissional do centro cirúrgico realizam a higienização das mãos em ocasiões recomendadas. Chega-se a conclusão que se deve desenvolver medidas visando à maior utilização dessa rotina básica de prevenção de infecções hospitalar pela equipe multiprofissional em saúde. Higienizar as mãos, conforme preconizado, consiste no primeiro passo para a busca da segurança e da excelência na qualidade da assistência ao paciente.

Abstract:
The main objective of this study was to assess adherence to hand hygiene by professionals from the multidisciplinary health team in the operating room. This was a descriptive literature review study based on information obtained from the BVS and PubMed databases, from articles published between June 2016 and June 2021. The results obtained showed that 70% of health professionals do not perform hand hygiene frequently and that 26% of the multidisciplinary surgical center team perform hand hygiene on recommended occasions. The conclusion is reached that measures should be developed aimed at making greater use of this basic routine for the prevention of hospital infections by the multidisciplinary health team. Hand hygiene, as recommended, is the first step in the search for safety and excellence in the quality of patient care.
