HIGIENIZAÇÃO DAS MÃOS: AÇÕES LÚDICO-EDUCACIONAIS PARA ALUNOS DO ENSINO BÁSICO
As mãos são consideradas a
principal via de transmissão de microrganismos.
A higienização das mãos (HM) é a medida mais
simples e de menor custo para prevenir as
infecções relacionadas à assistência à saúde
(IRAS). Sensibilizar, através de estratégia
educacional lúdica, estudantes quanto à
importância da HM nos serviços de saúde e no
cotidiano foi o objetivo deste trabalho. A ação
lúdico-prática foi desenvolvida em agosto de
2017 e abril de 2018 por profissionais da área da
saúde do Hospital Universitário/UFMS durante o
curso: “Trem do Pantanal: Trilhando o Caminho
do Bioma e das Doenças Tropicais”, cuja meta é
promover a difusão e popularização da ciência
entre alunos do ensino público. Utilizou-se uma caixa retangular com orifício na parte
superior (visor) e com dois orifícios na lateral para inserção das mãos. Internamente
havia duas lâmpadas fluorescentes. Os estudantes utilizaram um creme, visível à
luz negra, como se fosse um sabão para HM e, depois, colocaram-nas dentro da
caixa. Regiões bem higienizadas se tornaram fluorescentes e as que não iluminaram
acusaram falha na técnica. Em seguida, foi demonstrada a técnica correta de HM
e explicado a importância da mesma no contexto das IRAS. A realização incorreta
da HM não impede a transmissão das IRAS aumentando as taxas de infecções e
resistência microbiana. A construção do conhecimento sobre HM não pode ser restrita
ao meio acadêmico. Ações práticas e lúdicas com alunos do ensino básico podem
influenciar mudanças comportamentais pessoais e dos familiares através da difusão
de conhecimentos.

Abstract:
Hands are considered the main way of transmission of microorganisms.
Hand hygiene (HM) is the simplest and least expensive measure to prevent healthcareassociated
infections (IRAS). Sensitizing, through a playful educational strategy,
students about the importance of HM in health services and daily life was the objective
of this work. The practical-ludic action was developed in August 2017 and April 2018
by professionals from Hospital Universitário / UFMS during the course: “Pantanal Train:
Treading the Way of the Biome and Tropical Diseases”, whose goal is to promote the
diffusion and popularization of science among students of public education. An oblong
box with a hole in the top (display) and two holes in the side for insertion of the hands
was used. Internally there were two fluorescent lamps. The students used a cream,
visible in the black light, as if it were a soap for HM, and then put them inside the box.
Well-sanitized regions became fluorescent, and those that didn’t light up accused the
technique failure. Then, the correct HM technique was demonstrated and explained the
importance of the same in the context of IRAS. Incorrect performance of HM doesn’t
prevent transmission of IRAS but increasing infection rates and microbial resistance.
The construction of knowledge about HM can’t be restricted to the university. Practical
and playful actions with students of basic education can influence personal and family
behavioral changes through the diffusion of knowledge.
